This study was designed (a) to investigate client-counselor congruence in the perception of problems in eight potentially handicapping problem areas and (b) to find factors that might be contributing to any identified variance in problem perception. Results suggested that considerable incongruence exists between rehabilitation counselors and their clients in perceptions of handicapping problems. (Author)
