A Simulation Object with LabVIEW: Simultimeter (Simulated Multimeter)
Physics Education, v56 n2 Article 025003 Mar 2021
Teaching materials used in distance education are generally obtained from the internet as ready-made by teachers. Materials such as simulation, animation and presentation are usually limited to the frame drawn by the creator and do not allow changes outside this limit. In addition, many of these types of materials do not have a feedback mechanism. The multimeter is one of the basic tools used in all courses such as physics laboratory, electronics laboratory, electrical laboratory and even chemistry laboratory, which are practiced in the fields of science and engineering. Students make many mistakes while using the multimeter. For this purpose, in this study, it is aimed to design a digital multimeter used in the laboratories of the basic courses at high school and university level as a simulation object. This simulation program is called SiMultimeter (simulated multimeter). The other aims of the study are that the simulation gives feedback to the users and that it can be installed on the computer with .exe extension without the need for internet connection.
