Teaching Chemical Concepts with LEGO Bricks
Talbot, Christopher
School Science Review, v100 n370 p67-73 Sep 2018
A wide variety of chemical concepts and principles can be taught and demonstrated with LEGO bricks. They are an excellent teaching tool for reinforcing theoretical and abstract chemical concepts and for conveying structure--function relationships. They are ideal for conceptual learning or problem-based learning and a great way of stimulating interest in students of all ages. This article provides a survey of chemical concepts that could be usefully taught using LEGO bricks at a range of teaching levels from the lower secondary to the university/college level.
