The paper deals with one of modern effective pedagogical technologies in relation to management of the educational process with students of higher educational institutions. The authors discuss the concept of virtual excursion, formulate its advantages over traditional technologies, clarify the principles of modern pedagogical activity through a virtual excursion for the teachers and students. The paper presents one of the lecture plans devoted to a virtual tour using Internet resources. Relying on live resources, the authors argue that a virtual excursion brings students closer to their professional tasks, teach them to associate theoretical material with practice. As for an instructor, the effective use of modern innovative, computer training technology can improve the efficiency of teaching different subjects, streamline learning activities, optimize the processes of understanding and memorizing learning material.
