This study intends to highlight and recognize the impact of using the KidSmart program on facilitating children's access and use of ICT tools according to Jordanian public kindergarten teachers' viewpoint. In order to achieve this aim, the study applied the same items of the questionnaire that were applied in many kindergartens provided with KidSmart software in other countries such as (France, Germany, Italy, Portugal and the UK) after getting the license from IBM. The study tool was distributed amongst (52) Kindergarten teachers working at kindergartens that were provided with KidSmart units in 2008 before training them on how to use this software by public kindergarten supervisors. The study tool was also redistributed among the same teachers two to three weeks after receiving proper training, this group of teachers was intended an experimental group to measure the impact of KidSmart software in facilitating Kindergarten children's accessibility to ICT tools. The same study tool was distributed among (52) kindergarten teachers whose schools were not provided with KidSmart software as control group. It was also redistributed again among the same teachers within an interval ranging between two to three weeks. Results of ANCOVA indicated that there are statistical differences in the degree information processing and communication skills, access and dealing with ICT, and learning and using ICT used by kindergarten children due to the traditional teaching method from the point of view of kindergarten teachers. The differences are in favor of the teachers in the experimental group who were trained on KidSmart program. The researcher provides some recommendations to improve early childhood education in Jordanian kindergartens.
