Eight definitions of integration were examined across sex, race, political preference, religious service attendance, and socioeconomic status for 449 graduating high school seniors. Generally, these students chose definitions of integration based on the idealistic principle of free association of people of different races and the open acceptance of another person and his racial and cultural heritage.
