For the first time in history, there are sufficient numbers of old people to constitute a significant segment of the population. Older Americans are going back to school and to college. This shift in population is working, and will continue to work changes on schools and colleges faced with enrollment shortages. Colleges need new programs that provide better opportunities for older people to use their faculties and that assure better ways of utilizing their facilities. (Author/EA)
