Feeding Many Birds with One Bowl: Collaborative Inquiry as a Context for Faculty Development
King, Catherine; Moore, Jessie L.
Journal of Faculty Development, v27 n2 p19-24 May 2013
Collaborative inquiry among faculty focused on common teaching and learning questions can result in a rich array of outcomes. This paper reports on Digital Literacies, a collaborative inquiry project focused on infusing the use of computers and collaborative on-line writing environments into our college writing program. Participants were members of the college writing faculty at Elon University, a medium sized private institution. We describe the process and goals of the inquiry project and its outcomes in terms of the professional development of the faculty participants. (Contains 1 table, 1 figure, and 1 footnote.)
