A Library Bridge Solves the Problems of a Divided Campus
Haines, John
American School and University, 46, 3, 28-30,33, Nov 73
The new library at Vermont's Lyndon State College is simultaneously an attractive 24-hour study/research center and an effective architectural solution to a variety of unique problems. Built to bridge an awkward ravine and acting as a causeway between the two major sections of the campus, the library transformed what was an unsightly portion of the grounds into a series of attractive ponds and unified the campus.
