A longitudinal study of Michigan State University students compared the mean scores on ten political items for graduating seniors, 1971, with their mean scores as entering freshmen, 1967. Comparisons were also drawn between the responses of entering freshmen in 1967 and entering freshmen in 1971. Comparisons made between the 1971 group and the senior sample suggested that both college and community influences on attitudes shift from freshman to senior years. (Author)
