In this paper a media technique, the photographic essay, is examined and suggested for use in geographic education. The procedures for planning and executing photographic essays using slides are explained. Attention is given to establishing objectives and organizing slides accordingly for effective learning. Basid principles of photographic composition are discussed. (SM)
