The purpose of this study was to ascertain whether recent social changes and consequent malintegration with regard to sex roles have created stressful repercussions for men as well as for women; nearly one third of the men interviewed experienced some anxiety over their perceived failure to live up to the norm of masculine intellectual superiority.
