Surveys Dissertation Abstracts'', lists of neuroscientists, and grants awarded by the National Institutes of Mental Health for the 1960's, and identifies the 75 institutions, most graduating Ph.D's in the neurosciences. The relatively greater increase in these degrees than for all bioscience doctorates should be considered in planning doctoral programs. (AL)
