The author examines the traditional discomfort of conservative teachers and comfort of liberal teachers with the Oliver-Shaver public issues rationale. He predicts that as students move more to the political left, conservative and liberal teachers will enjoy a closer alliance in their attitudes toward the above rationale. (JB)
