The Impact of Instruction and External Events on Student Orientations and Opinion Consistency Concerning the Vietnam War

Results from a questionnaire given to two classes in international relations at Purdue indicated that such instruction had less impact on student opinions about the Vietnam war than external events. Comparison with two control groups, classes in sociology and psychology, yielded the same finding, but more consistency over time was noted in the classes in international relations. (CWB)
