Teachers and K-12 Education: National Polling Report #20
EdChoice
This teacher survey reveals a strong rebound in teacher morale, classroom conditions, and support for educational options. The poll was conducted between September 20-24, 2025 among a sample of 1,004 teachers and the interviews were conducted online. After hitting a low point last year, teachers are now reporting meaningful improvements--and a renewed sense of purpose. Key findings include: (1) optimism is rising, as more than half of teachers say their local school district is headed in the right direction; (2) wellbeing is improving, as 63% say they feel hopeful about the future and more teachers report feeling happy and satisfied, while fewer feel overwhelmed; (3) support for school choice is growing, as 74% support Education Savings Accounts (ESAs)--and a clear majority believe all families should have access, regardless of income or need; and (4) classroom disruptions are easing, as reports of frequent student absences and misbehavior are down significantly.
