With the ever-changing world of education, it is important to stay current with the delivery of technology, and it is imperative that educators be aware of the social and emotional development of students during hybrid learning environments. At almost every level, administrators and teachers have discovered the rapid increase of technology and its impact in the classroom and at home. Due to the immediate needs in the educational learning environment and as a result of the horrific pandemic, our traditional classroom pedagogies shifted. The remote/hybrid classroom became a standardized learning platform in the early Spring, 2020. The purpose of this research study was to determine the impact of the hybrid learning environment and the social emotional environment of primary aged students from a parents' perspective and parents' perceptions of. What was learned was the effects the pandemic had on a child's well being (from the parent perspective) and how the hybrid learning model, instituted as a result of the pandemic, impacted their children's social and emotional learning.
