Coordination of Outcomes between Career and Technical Education Stakeholders
John S. Windley
ProQuest LLC, Ed.D. Dissertation, Trevecca Nazarene University
This study determined the differences in CTE stakeholders' transferable skills, inter-stakeholder collaboration, and career-minded outcomes. Differing perceptions were identified between stakeholder groups concerning collaborative efforts and career-minded benefits, but not transferred skills. Program graduates are capable of sustaining equipment for extended operations without additional shore-based repair support. Mismatches' in perception were characteristic of individual differences in skill level and experience. Apprentices could benefit from exposure to macro-level responsibilities of the CTE program and more exposure to career resources. The data indicates a highly functioning CTE program. The program would be well suited for implementation in other sectors. The data indicates the skill level of apprentices to be above the national standards prior to program graduation.
