The following compilation of papers is an evaluation of academic misconduct in higher education and the methods that can be used to address the problem. The topic is covered in three separate papers. The academic papers presented include the following: "An Evaluation of Academic Dishonesty in the Online Classroom," which contains the why and how of student cheating along with prevention methods; "Preparing Ethically Minded Students: Using Ethics Education to Prevent Academic Dishonesty and Promote Ethical Behavior," which provides an explanation for how ethics education can provide a foundation for ethical reasoning to prevent students from rationalizing cheating behaviors; and "Faculty and Student Responsibility Regarding Academic Misbehavior," which provides insight on ways faculty and students can combat academic misconduct to promote ethical behavior.
