Reading Guide for Indigenous Children's Survivance in Public Schools

"Indigenous Children's Survivance in Public Schools" examines the cultural, social, and political terrain of Indigenous education by providing accounts of Indigenous students and educators creatively navigating the colonial dynamics within public schools. Schools and districts can create community around texts like "Indigenous Children's Survivance in Public Schools" to counter colonialism and provide a more just and affirming education for Indigenous youth. Reading guides can help foster critical reflection and facilitate engagement with the book. This reading guide was developed to accompany "Indigenous Children's Survivance in Public Schools."
