The "American Counseling Association (ACA) Code of Ethics" (2014) purpose and intent are to ensure that the individuals that counselors are providing support to warrant the opportunity to be empowered through facilitating respect to all of the individuals that the counselors provide support through counseling sessions. The code of ethics is a governing component to ensure that standards and guidelines are implemented to ensure that counseling prompts uniformed sessions and ensure that the individuals' dignity is not being compromised. The individuals have a sense of support and trust within the session. One of the responsibilities of the counselor is to ensure that the individuals are receiving a level of support that is conducive to a life well developed. In section A.1. of the ACA Code of Ethics, 2014, is A.1.d. Support Network Involvement: "Counselors recognize that support networks hold various meanings in the lives of clients and consider enlisting the support, understanding, and involvement of others (e.g., religious/spiritual/community leaders, family members, friends) as positive resources, when appropriate, with client consent," (p. 4). It is essential to link the clients to community resources that have a reliable support system; and other entities to rely upon so that after the counseling session, the individuals can have a positive support system. Within the acts of bullying, it appears that victims do not have an outlet or feel comfortable to share information that is bothering them. The correlational study calculated the data that examined the relationships between unaddressed school bullying and school weapons violations used in school shootings. The study explored the responses based upon school counselors' reactions to the observation on both subject matters of school bullying and the aftermath of school weapons violations used in school shootings. Moreover, the procedures taken to safeguard the students' mental health well being. The data analysis conducted through Pearson's correlation and independent sample t-tests with the level of significance set at 0.05. The inputted data collected in this study inserted into the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) software and will yield various tables and charts.
