Identifying Essential Components of a Personalized Learning Plan (PLP) for High School Students
Josh Swartzlander
ProQuest LLC, Ed.D. Dissertation, Wingate University
This dissertation examined the strategic initiative for identifying the essential components for personalized learning projects (PLP) for implementation. This school initiative identified the individual traits of a PLP from current literature and current instructional pedagogy and then surveyed secondary aged students. The project led to recommendations for instructional leaders on the creation, development, recruitment, and benefits for delivering unique personalized learning opportunities. The idea was developed in accordance with 21st century instructional practices, digital learning, and cost efficiency at a charter school. This research attained the survey information from the students who identified the most and least important components.
