Increasing the diversity representation among students of color is a critical need in colleges and universities of today. Education institutions are tasked with implementing imaginative ways to recruit, retain, and graduate students of color, especially at Predominately White Institutions (PWIs). Multicultural mentorship programs at PWIs have been accepted as a key function of remediating diversity barriers among students. However, having a holistic success plan for a multicultural mentoring program is a crucial tool for an institution desiring to link with multicultural students. This research discusses the need to implement best practices that ensure foundational stability the by critically examining a northeastern university's Multicultural Mentoring Program as a case-study. The research addresses the challenges faced in the creations, the success, and future directions to improve the program. More particularly, "Multicultural Mentoring Programs: Exploring the Need to Implement a Comprehensive Success Plan through Reviewing Evidence & Best Practices of a Northeastern University" refers to the need to assess and evaluate the development, implementation, and operationalization of a multicultural mentoring program at a PWI as guidance for future mentoring programs that reflect outcomes of improved performance standards by program participants.
