Underrepresentation of Latina college students in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) remains a challenge, even though Latinx students are attending college at an increased rate. While various of the obstacles identified by them mirrored some of the issues highlighted in prior studies, the participants found ways to overcome these challenges and persevere. This qualitative study used community cultural wealth (CCW) as the theoretical framework to examine the social and academic experiences of 10 Latina college students as they navigated higher education and their STEM programs. The findings indicated that Latinas in this study leveraged a network of support to help them journey through and across contexts. This circle of support included strong relationships with friends and peers, educators, and clubs and organizations that encouraged, motivated, and inspired them. Family was also identified as a significant source of support that contributed to their aspirations towards a STEM degree and career. Additionally, spiritual, and religious connection was revealed as a source of strength that aided Latina participants' sense of purpose to persist.
