Hispanic-Serving Institutions: 2017-18 Factsheet
Excelencia in Education
In 2017-18, there were 523 Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs) located in 27 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico. These institutions represented 17% of all institutions of higher education and enrolled 66% of Latino undergraduates. In this fact sheet, we provide a summary of HSIs based on location and governance and information about Emerging HSIs and HSIs with graduate programs.
