The problem of practice (PoP) explored within this Dissertation in Practice (DiP) pertains to the lack of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) graduates within the University of Mississippi and how inclusive excellence (IE) can help increase the number of STEM graduates within the institution. I am interested in exploring factors that contribute to and/or hinder STEM enrollment, persistence, and completion at the University of Mississippi. Enhancing the number and overall success of STEM programs at the University of Mississippi would, presumably, help address the identified PoP. The DiP is being conceptualized as a three-manuscript model in which the first manuscript is an equity, social justice, and ethics focused manuscript. The second manuscript focuses on data interpretation, and the third and final manuscript pertains to implementation and dissemination of a plan to help remedy the identified PoP.
