This bulletin describes existing educational conditions in Arkansas. The chapters herein not only point out the defects, but have suggested remedies. They also explain at considerable length the reasons for these recommendations and present estimates of the moneys required to carry out many of the recommendations. Contents include: (1) The present educational situation; (2) The causes of educational inequalities; (3) Receipts and sources of school revenue, Federal, State, and private, in 1921; (4) Local sources of school revenue; (5) How school moneys are apportioned and used; (6) How much will it cost Arkansas to reach the average level?
