If your mission is to teach children how to reduce, reuse, and recycle waste and create the next generation of Planet Protectors, perhaps leading a Planet Protectors Club is part of your future challenges. You don't have to be an expert in waste reduction and recycling to lead a a Planet Protectors Club. You don't even have to be a teacher. You do have to have the desire to motivate and educate children in grades K-6 while having fun in the process. Planet Protectors Clubs encourage children to think about these environmental topics: (1) Resource conservation; (2) Global climate change; (3) Source reduction; (4) Reuse; (5) Recycling; (6) Composting; (7) Recycled products; and (8) Waste disposal. This paper outlines steps on starting a Planet Protectors Club and provides a list of resources.
