The study sought to develop consensus opinion on the core competencies required to succeed as a female executive in the C-Suites of Alberta, Canada. The study was prompted by the significant under-representation of women in Canadian corporate executive positions and by a post-secondary institution's interest in determining whether a market exists for an executive education program designed specifically for women. The study operated in a descriptive inferential framework using a 3-round, Modified Delphi Technique electronic survey to develop consensus and ranking of the core competencies required for women to succeed in executive positions in Alberta. The study identified and ranked nine core competencies. (Contains 13 figures.)
