The Iron Triangle: College Presidents Talk about Costs, Access, and Quality. National Center Report #08-2
Immerwahr, John; Johnson, Jean; Gasbarra, Paul
National Center for Public Policy and Higher Education
"The Iron Triangle" is a small-scale exploratory piece of research that adds another dimension to a decade of observation of how different groups view the current challenges facing higher education. The report explores the perspective of college and university presidents, examining the views of more than two dozen presidents who shared their thoughts in one-on-one interviews. Those interviewed represent different kinds of higher education institutions: two- and four-year schools, private and public institutions, schools serving different segments of the population in different parts of the country. These interviews are the subject of the body of this report.
