This report contains information based on 29 interviews with health educators from public schools in Vermont. In addition to the interviews with health educators, it also includes information gathered through six focus groups conducted with groups of youth in public schools in central and southern Vermont. The results of these focus groups are listed separately. Included is information from health educators and youth in public school settings. For information about interviewee and focus group responses regarding out-of-school youth and youth in independent schools, please see the final reports from Phases I and II, respectively. The information in this report is based on self-reporting by individual representatives of contacted public schools, in the course of one phone interview each. The target population for this study was defined as people between 13 and 24 years old who are currently enrolled in a Vermont public school. The 29 schools included in this report are located in the following regions: (1) Champlain Valley; (2) Northeast; (3) Winooski; (4) Southwest; and (5) Southeast.
