ReadingWise: Comprehension Strategies That Work. Teacher's Guide.
Lipa-Wade, Sally
This teacher's guide is designed to assist in teaching an eight-level supplemental reading series to help students learn and practice a variety of reading comprehension strategies. It explains the format of the eight student books; provides a complete scope and sequence chart for the series; and includes a brief introduction to reading comprehension. Most of the book offers practical, hands-on suggestions about how to use the series with students at various levels. Four sections cover using ReadingWise 1; using ReadingWise 2 and 3; using ReadingWise 4, 5, and 6; and using ReadingWise 7 and 8. The number of each student book corresponds to the approximate grade-equivalent reading level. Each section begins with information on what to expect and then presents activities, suggestions, and ideas for the individual lessons within the student books.(YLB)
