Asserting that successfully managing a school environment is a necessary and essential educational investment, this paper details common problems with school environments and how to address them. These include environmental awareness training, moisture and water management, effective ventilation, mold removal, and cleaning and restoration effectiveness. The paper also discusses components of an environmental management process for continuous improvement in a school environment, including appointing an indoor environmental quality (IEQ) coordinator, identifying priority projects, identifying and using IEQ consultants as necessary, and management review.
