Central Washington University (CWU) Library has set up an interactive web tutorial, named CWUILT (CWU Information Literacy Tutorial), to help students develop the skills needed to select and locate appropriate information for research projects. CWUILT contains three modules, with a quiz at the end of each module. It takes about 90 minutes to complete all 3 modules. CWUILT can be found on the Library's Web site. The information provided in this document is designed to supplement CWUILT by assisting users with locating research materials in CWU Library. The guide consists of two main sections. The first, CWU Library Resources, provides information on finding books and articles--including using online databases and finding articles in serials; borrowing books and articles through Interlibrary Load; and checking out materials. The second section, Special Collections and Services, addresses reserves, government documents, maps, microforms, media circulation, music library, reference department, and the Internet. The guide concludes with a list of steps in the research process and a glossary of library terms that includes links to online locations. (AEF)
