Librarians involved with the development, design, and delivery of bibliographic instruction to remote access patrons must be prepared to address the challenges posed by each method of delivery (videoconferencing, computer-mediated, and World Wide Web-based). This paper provides an overview of each instructional medium and discussion regarding issues to consider when teaching at a distance. Examples of each method of delivery are provided, as well as a list of utilities and tools those teaching distributed bibliographic instruction can use to present this material.
