Noting that Connecticut has an extensive network of resources that can support families and the early childhood community, this guide is designed to assist early care and education providers in their efforts to enhance the services to families in their programs and link families with the Connecticut network of resources. The booklet contains information on associations, programs, initiatives, and agencies across Connecticut which offer, on a regional or statewide basis, some type of support, service, or information to families and professionals involved with preschool age children; it does not list child care, preschool, or preschool special education programs. The booklet contains three alphabetized sections. Section 1 is organized by topic or type of service offered. Section 2, the bulk of the guide, lists all programs, agencies, and initiatives, describes their involvement in the early childhood community, and includes telephone numbers.
