This edited volume presents case studies from Europe, North America, Asia, and the Middle East in which teachers have adapted and pioneered teaching innovations. The book is divided into 4 parts, 12 chapters, and an introduction. Part one, "Building a Computer Learning Center," has two chapters: "Guerilla Tactics: Creating a Mixed-Media ESL Lab from the Grass-Roots Up" (Mark Litwicki); and "Designing a CALL Facility from Bottom to Top at the Military Language Institute in Abu Dhabi" (Vance Stevens). Part four, "Training Teachers," has two chapters: "Hands-On Teacher Training: Presentation Software" (Elizabeth Hanson-Smith); and "A Teacher Preparation Course for Computer-Assisted Language Learning" (Sarah Rilling).
