Orkwis, Raymond; DeCarme, Judi; Glover, Jeanne
This 5-volume directory describes more than 1,200 discretionary grants and contracts supported by the Research to Practice Division of the Office of Special Education Programs. The projects are grouped into sections representing the seven program areas of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act Amendments (1997), Part D. This volume, the fifth of the directory, describes projects designed to assist state educational agencies and their partners in reforming and improving their systems for providing educational, early intervention, and transitional services including their systems for professional development, technical assistance, and dissemination of knowledge about best practices. The 46 projects are grouped by funding competitions and include information on grant number, title, project director, beginning and ending dates, and contact information. An abstract usually describes the project's purpose, proposed method, and proposed products. Four indexes are provided: (1) a project director index; (2) an organization index; (3) a state index; and (4) a subject index. (CR)
