Statistical Abstract of Higher Education in North Carolina, 1999-2000. Research Report.
Yang, Xiaoyun, Comp.
This report covers the breadth of higher education activities in North Carolina in their quantitative aspect, from simple counts of enrollment and degrees conferred to complex analyses of the flow of student transfers among institutions. It presents both past and current (1999-00 academic year) information. The data were compiled from forms mailed to the individual institutions in the summer and fall of 1999 for processing during the 1999-00 academic year. Data tables highlight the following areas: (1) current enrollment; (2) enrollment trends; (3) undergraduate transfers; (4) degrees conferred; (5) faculty; (6) library resources; (7) costs to students; (8) admissions; (9) student financial aid; and (10) student housing. Appended are data sources; definitions of terms; and a crosswalk of the document's discipline categories and CIP categories. (SM)
