This book provides information, presented in a question-and-answer format, on how schools should educate and accommodate students with disabilities participating in the general curriculum while preserving district-wide standards for all students. It reviews in detail the controlling directives of both the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act 1997 and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 as they concern assessment, evaluation, and graduation of students with disabilities. The answers in the book are based upon federal statutes and regulations, judicial decisions, and administrative interpretations by the U.S. Department of Education.
