This handbook offers information on guiding student teachers at Millersville University, Pennsylvania. It begins with a quick reference sheet that includes actions to take in specific situations and important telephone numbers. Next, it features a model for teacher education that is a visual representation of Millersville University's teacher preparation program. The next section details responsibilities of the student teacher, cooperating teacher, building principal, and university supervisor. This is followed by a description of student teaching policies and procedures, minimum requirements for the student teacher during the field experience, effective classroom and laboratory management, planning for instruction, and continuous evaluation of student teaching.
