The first section of this directory of Florida libraries with statistics provides information on Florida Division of Library and Information Services library organizations, councils, and associations, including: directories of State Library Council, Library Services and Technology Act Advisory Council, Florida Library Network Council, and Division of Library and Information Services members/staff; selected data for the State Library of Florida fiscal year 1997-98; summary of Florida Library Information Network (FLIN) activity; a list of FLIN online libraries; directories of library associations, graduate schools, and networks/multi-type library cooperatives; information on multi-type library cooperatives; and a directory of Florida State document depositories. The second section is the directory of libraries, divided into listings for public libraries, academic libraries, special libraries, institutional libraries, and district school media centers. A summary of public library data and selected historical data are presented in the third section. The fourth section contains public library data tables for: (1) access to library service (outlets, square feet, Sunday hours); (2) library staff; (3) income; (4) expenses; (5) expenses by category; (6) collection; (7) circulation and borrowers; (8) visits, reference, interlibrary loan; (9) programs; and (10) electronic access.
