Colorado Model Content Standards: Mathematics.
Colorado State Dept. of Education, Denver.
The Colorado Model Content Standards for Mathematics were designed to serve as a guide for school districts as they define standards that will enable every Colorado student to develop the mathematical literacy needed for citizenship and employment in the 21st century. A new vision is provided of the content students should study in order to achieve the six goals of becoming mathematical problem solvers, learning to communicate mathematically, learning to reason mathematically, making mathematical connections, becoming confident of their mathematical abilities, and learning the value of mathematics. Six standards are presented with their rationale and specific expectations for students completing grades K-4, 5-8, and 9-12. (ASK)
