The Role of Humanities in Our Modern Technological Society.
Davis, Gregory H.
This paper advocates that the humanities retain a place or have primary importance in the education system. It presents a history of philosophic and religious perspectives regarding science and technology, ranging from embracing technology to rejecting it. By juxtaposing the dominance of the Nazi regime in World War II and the increasing flood of technology, the paper suggests that the humanities must temper the influence of technology on modern society.
