The six chapters are: (1) "Stepping In," including starting a new position, dealing with principals, secretaries, and staff and pupil needs; (2) "Being Organized, or...How to Appear So!," including establishing routines, preparing priorities lists and reports, ordering, coping with temporary space, arranging and moving into a new physical space, and suggested readings; (3) "Computers in School Libraries," including issues pertaining to automation, online information services, and CD-ROM; (4)"Survival Systems Flowchart," including suggestions and an example; (5) "A School-based Information Skills Plan," including presenting the need for such a plan to faculty, guidelines for a workshop, and informative resources; and (6) "Cooperative Planning and Teaching," including planning suggestions, and worthwhile readings.
