These two newsletter issues address topics in special education teacher preparation. The feature article of the first issue, "Data Sources for Analyzing the Teacher Preparation Pipeline" (Albert A. Paschall), discusses three informational tools used in monitoring and analyzing the special education personnel preparation pipeline. The data from the Professions Clearinghouse Institutions of Higher Education database, the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data Systems, and the Office of Special Education Programs funded personnel training grants performance reports, are described. Other articles include: "Adapted Physical Education and Special Education: There's a Strong Resemblance, But We're Not Related" (Janet Seaman); "IDEA and NCPSE Are a Perfect Match" (Sara Conlon); "Wow! You Mean I Can Really Get My College Tuition Paid For?" (NCPSE); and "The Supply and Demand of Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Professionals in Our Nation's Public Schools: Have Things Changed!" (Judy L. Wald). The second issue begins with the article "Accreditation, Licensure, Professional Certification, Advanced Certification: Are You Wondering?" (Judy L. Wald), which describes the process of preservice program accreditation, new teacher licensure and professional certification. Other articles include: "National Task Force on Equity in Testing Deaf Professionals" (Judy L. Wald), and "Factors I Considered in Choosing a College Program" (Sandie Benz). (CR)
