This videotape is designed to accompany the "Libraries of the Future Staff Development Pack." The clips are taken from the NCET-TV "Teaching and Learning with IT" series, first broadcast on BBC2's Learning Zone. It consists of three sections: (1) "Developing Learners' Skills" includes skills for multimedia authoring, enquiry-based approaches to learning, information skills for CD-ROM searching, independent learning, using the Internet for research, and girls and the Internet; (2) "Management of Resources" focuses on managing access to equipment, choosing and managing resources, advice and training for staff, supporting the learners, encouraging responsible use of the Internet, and the school development plan; and (3) "Changing Roles of the Teacher and Librarian" highlights tomorrow's teachers, changing roles of librarians, changing relationships between learners and teachers, and growing confidence with information technology.
