This book provides biographical information about 19 stylistically different illustrators of children's picture books. The illustrators and illustrations selected for representation demonstrate the many changes and styles in book illustration that have occurred during the past 50 years. Focus is upon how and why these individuals became children's book illustrators. Book lists and art samples are given for each of the represented artists: Lee J.
