This packet contains seven short guides for activities that help work force development professionals develop their professionalism and establish ties with their peers. The guides cover the following topics: (1) building local peer networks; (2) meeting with other work force development professionals; (3) planning a roundtable; (4) sponsoring professional development workshops; (5) conducting an occupational focus group; (6) forming a training institute; and (7) forming a chapter of the National Association of Workforce Development Professionals (NAWDP). The guides provide step-by-step processes for developing and implementing the activities. The guide to forming a NAWDP chapter also contains a list of 21 resources available from the organization.
