Technology across the Curriculum: Activities and Ideas.
Bazeli, Marilyn J.; Heintz, James L.
Many teachers want to use media technology to add a new dimension to classroom learning. Focusing on curriculum application and integration, the 75 projects in this activity book engage students in active, participatory, real-life learning. This book gives simple instructions and reproducible activity sheets for standard, basic technologies in the following categories: (1) video productions (2) photography/transparency activities; (3) audio productions; (4) computer activities; and (5) multimedia productions. Each category contains 15 different activities tested in real classroom situations. These creative projects are designed to motivate and involve students in cooperative, integrated, authentic student-centered learning. Each activity has an objective, an overview, a definition of skill areas covered, a materials checklist, adaptive list (for different grade levels), procedure guidelines, and evaluation techniques. Appendices provide additional resources for educators, including reproducible evaluation sheets, specialized guidelines and tips, and a list of print resources. A skill areas index and an author/title/subject index are also included. (Author/AEF)
